Accessibility

Effective 29 September 2026

Wonder Music Factory is for every child and every family, and that includes people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, need larger text, or find movement on screen difficult. This page sets out what we have done, what we know is still imperfect, and how to tell us when we get it wrong.

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are not claiming perfect conformance; we are saying that is the bar we measure ourselves against.

What we have built in

  • Keyboard access. Every link, button, menu and audio player can be reached and operated without a mouse, with a clearly visible focus outline. A “Skip to content” link appears when you start tabbing.
  • Colour contrast. Text and buttons are checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios rather than judged by eye.
  • Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, the animated factory scenes do not run and interface animations are switched off.
  • Decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers, so they do not clutter the page with meaningless announcements.
  • Meaningful labels. Play buttons name the song they play; the cart states how many items it holds. Confirmation messages are announced politely rather than stealing focus.
  • Structure. Real headings, lists and landmarks, so a screen reader can move through a page by section.
  • Text that scales. The layout reflows down to small screens and stays usable when text is enlarged.
  • No autoplay. Nothing makes sound until you ask it to, and only one track plays at a time.

Known limitations

We would rather tell you than let you discover these:

  • Lyrics are not yet published on the site. For deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors, and for anyone who wants to read along, this is the gap we most want to close. Lyric sheets exist and we intend to add them.
  • Checkout happens on Stripe’s pages, whose accessibility is outside our control, though Stripe publishes its own commitment.
  • The Spotify player embedded on the front page is Spotify’s, and we cannot change how it behaves with assistive technology.
  • Some artwork carries text inside the image. We are working towards making sure that text also appears as real text nearby.

If something does not work for you

Please tell us. A short note saying what you were trying to do, what got in the way, and what you use to browse — a screen reader, keyboard only, magnification — helps enormously.

Email [email protected]. We aim to reply within five business days. If something is blocking you from a purchase, say so and we will help you complete it another way, including arranging your download manually.

Our commitment

Accessibility is not a box we tick once. We review it when we change the site, and we treat reports from visitors as the most reliable signal we have.
